Nancy nodded, her dark eyes reflecting my own curiosity. She shifted, her body pressed up against mine, and wrapped her arms around me in a tight embrace. The first light of dawn filtered through the curtains, and the smell of brewing coffee lingered. We both were still dressed in our pajamas, cuddling under the covers.
